Famke Janssen is a Dutch actress, director, screenwriter and former fashion model. She is known for her roles in television, such as Hemlock Grove, Nip/Tuck, and How To Get Away With Murder, and in the films GoldenEye, Taken film trilogy and X-Men film series. In 2017, she starred in the NBC crime thriller The Blacklist: Redemption. In 2011, Janssen made her directorial debut with Bringing Up Bobby. Born Famke Beumer Janssen on November 5, 1964 in Amsterdam, Netherlands, she has two siblings: sisters Antoinette Beumer and Marjolein Beumer are a director and actress respectively. She graduated from Columbia University in 1992 with a Bachelor of Arts degree. She began her professional career as a model, and broke into Hollywood in the early 1990s. She made her film debut with Jeff Goldblum in Fathers & Sons (1992). She was married to writer and director Kip Williams from 1995 to 2000.
