| Catrinel Menghia is a Romanian top fashion model. She is best known for being a Sports illustrated model, who appeared in the 2006 and 2009 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue. She became the face of Giorgio Armani worldwide and French lingerie purveyor Lise Charmel. In 2001, she competed in the Ford”s “Supermodel of Romania” where she finished third. Catrinel received Romania”s Model of the Year award in 2002. She started her acting career by appearing in various films, including Tutti i rumori del mare directed by Federico Brugia and La città ideale directed by Luigi Lo Cascio. Born Catrinel Menghia on October 1, 1985 in IaÈ™i, Romania, to parents Lili and Dan Menghia, she has one sister named Lorena.
